Ingredients

For the churros

375 g water

85 g butter

30 g sugar

2 g salt

225 g flour

2 eggs

1 L frying oil

for the Garnish

Sugar + Cinnamon powder for garnish (optional)

Small Jar of Nutella for garnish (optional)

Directions

Step 1

for the Churros

Step 1

Add water, sugar, salt, and butter to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium and add flour. Whisk vigorously until the dough stops sticking to the sides of the pan. Take off from heat and allow the dough to fully cool. Add eggs and whisk vigorously until the dough comes together. Place the dough in a piping bag with a star-tip nozzle. Pipe shapes directly into hot oil at 350°F/175°C until golden brown. Allow to drip off on a prepared paper towel or drip tray before coating in cinnamon sugar.

for the Garnish

Step 1

For coated cinnamon sugar do so immediately once they are done fried. For the nutella wait a little so it doesn’t melt off to the side.
